Thanking NHS blood donor centre staff (and raising awareness of AA!) Yesterday, Ellie from The Aplastic Anaemia Trust was invited to the NHS Blood Donation London West End Donor Centre, to talk at their training day. It was fantastic to meet the hardworking team who collect so many blood donations, and add people to the NHS Stem Cell register! We talked about the importance of the register, why some groups of people are encouraged to sign up, and how stem cell and blood donations save the lives of people with aplastic anaemia. The absolute highlight was this gorgeous video which Terri (from Jensen's Story) created specially to say thank you to the team and explain how donors had saved Jensen's life. Hardly a dry eye in the house! Thank you so much Terri and Jensen. Welcome to Jensen's Story. Trying our best to raise more awareness for Aplastic Anaemia. Posts from Jensen's mum Terri.
