I was diagnosed with severe aplastic anaemia in June 2019. My world was turned upside down. A year off work, chemo and a stem cell transplant later I was ready to gently re-enter into the world and taking up a new hobby in pottery was a great way to do this - gentle, tactile, connecting.

I found a lot of joy making wonky pots when I was recovering from my stem cell transplant. Now I’m making more, that are a bit less wonky, and can’t possibly keep it all so am asking for donations to a charity that was there for me when I was very sick and needed peers, information and support.

Five years on and completely in remission: I still love making ceramics and I’d love to give back to the charity that helped me so much.

To my friends and family who are donating money in return for my pots for the AAT, thank you! I get to do my fave hobby, and you get some HB pots and the chance to give to the AAT in return <3
