In Memory

Ferghal

Ferghal John Patrick Gerard Quinn from Mayobridge, Co.Down sadly lost his battle with cancer on October 11th 2025 at the age of 55. Ferghal had been diagnosed with Aplastic Anaemia 10 years previous to this.

Ferghal was a much loved son, brother, uncle, and nephew who always had time for his family and many friends. He was a skilled plasterer by trade. He always enjoyed the craic, was an eager jiver and a talented singer who loved to give a rendition of Kenny Rogers’ “The Gambler”. Ferghal was a man of deep compassion who always left the people he met feeling lighter and full of life.

Ferghal battled his illness with such grace and dignity to the very last moment. He fought the good fight and finished the race with faith. He is sorely missed.

In memory of Ferghal, his sister Jemma wanted to raise funds for the AAT. On December 29th 2025, a pub quiz was held in Rices Hotel, Poyntzpass. Thanks to the generosity of the many family and friends who participated, £2330 was raised for the AAT.
